• What is a diamond blade?
• How does a diamond blade work?
• A diamond blade is composed of a circular steel core and the diamond
impregnated segments. The segments are seperated by slots in the core.
• These
slots assist in cooling the blade during operation by allowing water (wet
cutting) or air (dry cutting) to flow between the segments. The segments or rims
are a mixture of diamond powder and metal powders. The diamonds are industrial
diamonds of different sizes and qualities depending on the material to be cut as
well a the blade type.
• The individual diamond crystals exposed on the leading edge and the sides of
the segment or rim carry out the cutting. The operator pushes the rotating blade
into the material and the surface diamonds thus exposed mill a groove in the
material. When the blade mills the material, the latter exerts wear on the
blade. During cutting the exposed diamonds may crack
or break. The material simultaneously starts to abrade the metal matrix, which
releases more diamonds.
• The more abrasive the material, the more rapid
the tendency to wear down the matrix. Blades for cutting hard, denseless
abrasive materials (such as tile, bricks, stone or cured concrete), require
a softer metal matrix.
• This will wear down faster, replacing the worn diamonds
fairly quickly so that the blade continues to cut.
• Blades for cutting soft,
abrasive materials (such as green concrete and asphalt), must have a hard,
abrasion-resistant metal matrix in order to retain the diamonds for a longer
time.
• Water will prevent the blade from overheating:
It will greatly reduce the amount of harmful dust created by cutting. Remove the
slurry from the cut, and extend the life of the blade.

Items can be returned to us within our returns period. Please contact our team, as per the policy below, and we will be happy to assist and make the relevant arrangements.
Returns
You have 7 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused/new and in the same condition that you received it and needs to be in its original packaging. Please note that a 15% handling fee will be applicable to all returns aside from returns due to goods being received damaged. All goods are inspected before they are despatched to you to ensure a quality product is delivered.
You are welcome to return the goods at our premises or by using a reputable courier company. Please note that goods will be checked before a refund is processed.
Please send us an email with all the return details and state clearly on the email or invoice the reason for the return and whether you require a refund or an exchange. If the goods are damaged, we will replace the item. If the item is out of stock, we will refund you or offer you an alternative item.
Refunds
The returned goods will be examined by our staff on arrival, if the goods were shipped/couriered to us we will notify you via email of our decision within a reasonable period of time. The refund will be processed within thirty (30) days of receiving the goods.
If a refund is payable to you, we will transfer the money using the same method originally used by you to pay for the purchase.
You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.

Order processing & dispatch
Orders are only dispatched once full payment has been received and the funds reflect in our account.
Once payment appears on our side, we arrange for the courier to collect and deliver the order.
If payment is received immediately, your order will be shipped on the next business day.
E-commerce platform order
Some external e-commerce platforms operate with their own service-level agreements (SLAs) and integrated courier services.
When an order is placed on these platforms, payment is handled through the platform.
Once Jozi Tool & Safety team receives payment from the platform, the order is dispatched immediately.
On average, dispatch occurs within 24 hours, after which the courier collects the parcel for delivery.
Shipping turnaround time
We aim to deliver orders as quickly as possible:
Local Deliveries (Within Gauteng)
If payment reflects quickly, orders are shipped next day.
Typical delivery time: 2–3 business days
Outside Gauteng
Standard delivery time: Up to 5 business days
Outlying areas: Please allow an additional 2 days for delivery.
Maximum Turnaround
The maximum shipping turnaround time is 5 days, excluding delays caused by courier partners or outlying areas.
This includes the time required to transfer products from suppliers to our dispatch point before delivery occurs.
